A recent study has shown that sleep disorders might increase the risk of Alzheimer's disease. The Alzheimer's Association International Conference in Copenhagen is set to introduce the findings over six days.
Sleep plays a crucial role in the aging brain's health. Those who have been diagnosed with sleep disorders are 30 percent more likely to suffer dementia than those without sleep disorder issues.
Alzheimer's has been a growing diseases as it affects more than 5 million Americans and the number is expected to continue to rise to 16 million people by 2050.
